Photographing the Medina of Fes

We spent two hours this afternoon with a professional photographer named Omar Chennafi. We read that Omar is the official photographer of the Fes Festival on World Sacred Music; that’s great, but more importantly, we learned firsthand that he is a very special artistic soul. I loved our time with this gentle young man. I am going to post a few of the photos we took today under his tutelage. I think these photos scratch below the surface of the Fes medina just a little bit. You get a glimpse of life here. You see people working, playing, living. Tomorrow we leave Fes and drive to the desert. Capturing life in the medina with Omar was the perfect way to spend our last hours in Fes.
