Ma’a s-salamah Morocco

We are in the Royal Air Maroc lounge at the Casablanca airport awaiting our Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul in a few hours. Our driver, Tofik, delivered us here from Marrakech this morning. From Istanbul, we will travel to Dubai sometime between now and tomorrow.

Traveling is the part we don’t like about traveling. It’s like fishing. Most people don’t like to fish. Most people mainly want to catch. At least, that’s how the good and wise Mr. Evans once described fishing to Rick. He said that nobody wants to sit in the sun for hours and then go home empty handed. Everyone is there for the joy of reeling in a big one. That’s how we are about traveling. Getting there is awful. Being there is awesome. So we’ve had an incredible experience in Morocco bookended by two days of travel. Maybe more, but who’s counting? Time gets weird in airports and airplanes, at least, to me it does.

Here is the part where we choose photographs that we love that are not necessarily connected to anything except Morocco and present them “as is” and hope you enjoy them. I am going to start off with the snake picture and get it over with since I hate hate hate snakes!

Very exciting photos. Did the snake behave well? What was the young on the horse doing?

Rick sneaked that snake photo. Those men want to charge you to see the snakes do their thing, it Rick took the picture when the “charmer” was not looking. The guy on the horse was a guard at a place where some kings were buried. Those are the only guards you can photograph. Gotta love the uniforms!
